Vintage Photo Album Save The Date Card

Vintage Photo Album Save The Date

About This Design

The plan this year is to keep working on cards and invitations, continuing on from last year’s first Christmas Card Contest entry.  This vintage photo album styled Save The Date card is one of my first designs for 2017 and imitates a photo held in an old photo album with old-style photo corners.  There is also a flora design above the photo and behind the wedding couple’s personalized initials, and a custom date below the photo.  The white photo border is part of the design so your photo will load behind the border.

The reverse side of this Save The Date card features a pretty scripted “Save the Date” above the personalized couples names over a larger version of the same flora design as on the front of the card.  The date and place fields are also template fields, easily customized on the product page (at Zazzle).

I hope your year is off to a fabulous start and that you’ll bookmark my site to check back here and see how I’m progressing at my paper stock product attempts!
Always Christmas Photo Greeting Card

New Design: Always Christmas

About This Design

This year, after watching from the sidelines the last couple of years, I decided to take part in Zazzle‘s 2016 Card Contest.  I entered three designs with the first being my new “Always Christmas” design.  This design is my first attempt at an icon pattern; I’ve drawn simple holly, snowflakes, stars, candy canes and Christmas stocking and presents icons and scattered these Christmas icons about the repeating tile.  I’ve made the pattern a half-tone white on red background to add to it’s Christmas-y-ness (:  I’ve also made colour versions of the icons to use as accents on some of my PoD items.

Availability

For the Card Contest, we needed to submit our design on a set of four products: one of Zazzle‘s card options, a postage stamp, a label and a sticker.  I used my “Always Christmas” icon pattern for the background of each item, and then I included a replaceable photo and editable text on the card option, a simple greeting for the postage stamp, a greeting and personalizable detail fields for the wrap-around return address label, and a greeting and a colour version of one of the Christmas icons for the sticker.  In addition to these items, I’ve been adding the design to other items, like the hot chocolate drink mix, a bunting banner and napkins, and plan to keep adding the design to items where the “Always Christmas” design is a good match to the product.  The Gallery below will automatically update with new “Always Christmas” items as they become available; in the meantime, here is the “Always Christmas” set I entered into the contest:
